The Mountain Rules…
Skiing is an active sport that takes place in an unpredictable natural environment.
Instructors have an eye on security at all times.
Instructors can and should tell you how to be aware of your own safety, on and off piste.
Adult skiers must take responsibility for their own behaviour and safety.
The FIS (Fédération Internationale de Ski) long ago established a set of 10 rules of behaviour. Most are common sense, similar to the rules of the road.
Everyone should apply those rules for their own safety and enjoyment and that of others.
Freedom + Respect = Freedom for all
